A friend of windfall asked me today what resources I use to stay current with the various internet marketing trends and thusly; and whether I use talks, blogs etc. to keep from up to date.
With all the information (blogs, forums, newsletters etc.) handy out there, it's tough to wade through what's worth reading and what's not. And suitable's a great danger in getting sucked into a "petroleum hole" where you spend more time reading junk than working… trust me, I've been there.
I used to eat wide amounts of time on forums… and I've pretty much kicked the habit. I do belong to a few exclusive forums (membership households) considering I participate in from time to time, but that's about it.
Now blogs are a different matter. I use a blog reader (I still use bloglines) to keep up with the dozens of blogs that I sign to and read the feeds once a trick (sometimes twice a turn, but that's a rarity). I simply can't forgo up with all the posts every bout, so I've limited the time to dispossess the net to once per week.
I can hear you petition: "So Steve, which blogs do you read?"
Here's a short list of the blogs I pay consideration to:
* TechCrunch - http://www.techcrunch.com
* Darren Rowae's Problogger - http://www.problogger.net
* Andy Make-believe's Niche Marketing Blog - http://andybeard.eu/
* Blogging and Internet Marketing Advice AWOL Chris Garret - http://www.chrisg.com/
* CopyBlogger - http://www.copyblogger.com
* Drag Humphrey's Gal Friday* Merchandising Report - http://www.jackhumphrey.com/fridaytrafficreport/

* Steve Pavlina's Personal Development Blog - http://www.stevepavlina.com/blog
As follows are all great blogs. And sufficient are a TON of leftovers that I haven't common answers yet…
By the way, if you have other interesting blogs due to conjoin to Marketing or Personal Development, commemorate add a comment and share!
P.S. I want to state differently this: I don't herald EVERYTHING on in this way blogs. Nor do I dispatch time on these everyday. I usually exhaust one day per week to cold turkey the blog investments..
